HEAR methodology by Nadezhda Bratchenko

Objections do not exist.
There is either a signal or a fact.

HEAR, Human Empathy And Rapport, is a methodology for hearing the customer in B2B sales. It helps teams understand what stands behind a customer's words and move toward a decision without turning the conversation into a contest.

The distinction

Do not answer before you know what happened.

A signal means that the person lacks understanding, confidence, or information. Something important may not have been asked, understood, or heard. A fact is a real constraint: the budget is unavailable, the timing is wrong, or the product does not solve the task.

With a signal, the conversation returns to what was missed. With a fact, the Helper does not argue with reality. HEAR does not teach teams to give up after the first “no”; it teaches them to continue with precision and to recognize the real boundary of a solution.

Not a script

The route supports a live conversation; it does not prescribe mandatory lines.

Not soft persuasion

Hearing the customer creates a more accurate basis for value and the next step.

Not a promise to persuade anyone

A real fact remains real even when the conversation is excellent.

A practical route

Six steps of HEAR

The order is fixed. Each step depends on what was heard before it.

01

Research and permission

Understand the context before contact and earn permission to talk.

02

HEAR Map

Move through eight directions of understanding without turning the conversation into a questionnaire.

03

Consequences of inaction

Help the customer explore consequences without inventing fear on their behalf.

04

The Anchor

Release tension and return control before discussing a solution.

05

BUSV presentation

Pain. Amplification. Feature. Benefit. One feature for one heard pain.

06

Soft close

Check readiness and agree on an appropriate next step without pressure.
